No, it doesn’t look like a wheelbarrow. In fact, the most apt description we can think of is that, it’s a piece of tarp mounted on a single wheel frame. And while that doesn’t sound all that useful, the Allsop WheelEasy is definitely one of most clever yard cart solutions we’ve ever seen.

Like a wheelbarrow, you can use it to move soil, compost, and all sorts of stuff across your yard and garden, all while using minimum amounts of effort. Unlike it, the darn thing can fold flat, allowing you to hang it on a hook or stash it under a table, taking up very minimal space.

The Allsop WheelEasy consists of a folding frame that’s mounted on a single wheel, with a pair of curved handles on the opposite end and a piece of heavy-duty fabric wrapped around the length of the frame. When unfolded, the fabric serves as the cart bed, allowing you to load it with any type of cargo up to 350 pounds. To use, simply spread the frame, lay it down on the ground (the curved handle will post up on the ground to ensure bottom is on the same level as the ground), and load your material onto the bed. The rear of the bed isn’t walled, by the way, so you can just sweep, rake, or push cargo into the bed, making loading even simpler than traditional wheelbarrows.

When pushing the cart, the cargo bed automatically centers the load to let you push the whole thing with minimal effort. To unload, you can push the whole thing forward like standard wheelbarrows, although you also have the option to spread it across the ground and simply push the cargo out through the rear. Construction is heavy-gauge steel for the frame and thick vinyl-coated nylon for the cargo bed, with the latter reinforced using industrial-strength seams and UV resistance, so you can leave it out in the sun without any trouble. The handles, by the way, are covered with foam grips, so the gripping surface won’t get hot even on a sunny day, all while being relatively comfortable compared to the feel of solid steel.

The Allsop WheelEasy comes with two sizes of cargo bed: the standard one that measures 4 x 5.5 feet and an LE model that measures 3 x 4 feet. The former can support weights of up to 350 pounds, while the latter handles up to 150 pounds. And, yes, the size difference is quite substantial, with the smaller model being way easier to transport and store, which should make it ideal for people intending to use this for small gardens and yards.

Do note, the cart isn’t assembled out of the box, so you’ll have to put it together yourself. As such, you’ll need to pull out the Phillips screwdriver and a wrench to put the whole thing together, although it’s simple enough that it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.
