It’s quite expensive for a power bank. If you’re looking for something with a whole lot of power in a compact package, though, the Saber might just be worth it.

Measuring 10.5 x 2.3 x 2.4 inches, the device is small enough to stash in your bag’s exterior pockets, as well as strap down to an outside compartment. This makes it very convenient to bring along as an everyday gadget that you can use to charge all your electronics. Despite the size, it packs some serious charging power, allowing you to recharge an iPhone up to 10 times, a DSLR up to eight times, and most laptops up to two times before draining out.

The Saber houses a 24,000mAh battery with a lifespan of 800 cycles before dipping down to 80 percent capacity. That means, it should give you several years of use even if you drain and recharge it on a daily basis, which isn’t all that likely. It has two USB ports for charging smartphones, action cams, and other small gadgets, as well as a USB-C slot for plugging in your laptop. There’s also a 120-volt AC inverter outlet that you can use to power small appliances (they say it can handle 90-watt speakers, maximum), making it a highly useful tool whether for everyday use or for weekend recreation. Do note, it probably won’t be able to make even small appliances run for long, so consider that if you plan to use it that way when camping.

It can retain charge up to six months, so it should make for an excellent emergency backup power to keep in a bag or drawer somewhere, even if you don’t plan to use it on a regular basis. And it’s safe to use, with short circuit protection and under/over-voltage secondary protection so you can be sure your expensive electronics are safe the whole time they’re plugged in.

Designed for rugged use, the Saber can withstand drops without taking damage, so you don’t have to treat it like a dainty gadget like many of our modern electronics. Just don’t throw it at a wall – I mean, it’s not one of those Nokia 3310s from the turn of the century, after all. It’s water- and dust-resistant, too, so it won’t be left to the mercy of the elements every time you use it outside the house.

LED indicators on the body allow you to quickly check remaining charge levels, so you can see exactly when you need to plug it in to replenish. If you want more detailed information, though, it can pair with an accompanying app that shows you exact battery levels for making more informed decisions. The best part? The darn thing can fully recharge with just two hours of being plugged into a wall outlet, so you can quickly replenish it whether at home, at work, or at the local Starbucks. And, yes, it’s TSA-approved.

Slated to ship by the end of the year, the Saber is available for preorder, priced at $199.
