The current generation of robot vacuums are great, allowing you to keep your floors clean with very little work on your part, requiring you to just empty the bin whenever it gets full and doing everything else on its own. The iRobot Roomba i7+ automates it even further by integrating a disposal mechanism that gets rid of all the dirt and debris every time that it docks.

That’s right, you won’t even have to clean the dust bin on your Roomba, as it can empty the chamber all by its lonesome straight into a disposable bag on the dock. Even better, that bag can hold as much as 30 times the volume of the dust bin, which means you’ll only have to change the bag once a month if you want to do the least amount of work imaginable.

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is equipped with dual rubber brushes, allowing it to clean different floor surfaces, whether it be hard floors, tiles, or carpets, as well as a powerful suction to provide highly-powerful dirt pickup. According to the outfit, it delivers 10 times the suction power of the outfit’s Roomba 600 series, ensuring it has the most powerful suction you can get from iRobot’s roster of cleaning automatons. Using a three-stage cleaning system, the vacuum can supposedly clean not just dirt and debris, but allergens and dust that are invisible to the naked eye. Simply put, this thing will clean your floors with incomparable vigor.

A bigger memory allows the robot to store up to 10 floor plans onboard, ensuring you can use a single Roomba to clean every floor even in multi-story homes. Like previous versions of the robot, it updates its map every time it performs a cleaning job, allowing it to get more efficient with its travel paths the more times you use it. Users can also help customize the floor plans  by using the companion app, which allows you to merge, split, and label rooms as you see fit, so you can help improve the layout if you see potential areas for further optimization.

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is bundled with a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, a wall unit that the robot can dock into for both automatically charging and emptying the dust bin. We know, a robo-vac that can empty its contents isn’t exactly new, although it is the first Roomba to come with the capability, which makes it particularly interesting for folks that remain faithful to the original cleaning robot. And, yes, it can detect when the bag is full, at which point it will notify you via the companion app.

Using the app, users can now program the robot to clean only specific rooms in the layout, so you can have it working on the kitchen and living room while living the unused study alone. This allows for even more efficient use of the robot, so you can have it clean up only in places where it’s necessary.

Slated to ship in September, the iRobot Roomba i7+ is priced at $949.99.
