After over 10 years in development, the world’s smallest, and most affordable, private jet is finally delivering to customers. That’s right, the Cirrus Vision SF50 is now arriving into the hangars and runways of the modestly well-heeled individuals who got in on the pre-order.

No, this isn’t like your traditional private plane, with posh accommodations, luxury amenities, and a proper lavatory for relieving yourself when the need arises. Instead, it’s about as close as we get for now to a car that can fly, with its modest price tag, basic amenities, and five-passenger seating arrangement. And, yeah, no lavatory, so you’ll have to wait until you get to the next stop. Just like in a car.

The Cirrus Vision SF50 has a pair of seats out front for a pilot tandem, with two rows of seats immediately behind it (two in the middle and three in the back). It can fly at heights of 28,000 feet and cruise at 345 mph, with a maximum of range of 1,150 miles on a full tank of fuel. That means, you won’t be able to use it for intercontinental flights, but it should make for an excellent regional travel option.

Features include a carbon fiber body, massive panoramic windows for a beautiful view, a V-tail design that helps reduce cabin noise, and a whole plane parachute that gets deployed in emergency cases. It runs on just a single engine, too, which should help keep the operating costs a whole lot lower.

Pricing for the Cirrus Vision SF50 starts at $2 million.
