As if Alienware’s flagship gaming desktop wasn’t powerful enough, the company just announced the most powerful iteration of the PC yet. Called the Alienware Area 51 Threadripper Edition, the new system will be powered by AMD’s 16-core Threadripper CPU.

That’s right, it’s the first machine announced to come with AMD’s much-awaited new CPU, which boasts 16 cores and 32 threads for some serious processing muscle. Simply put, if you’ve been waiting for that much-hyped processor, this will be your first shot at getting to appreciate everything it has to offer.

The Alienware Area 51 Threadripper Edition’s processor will have an unlocked BIOS, by the way, so you can overclock it to your heart’s content. It retains the same futuristic chassis as standard Area 51 desktops, complete with a corrosion-proof powder-coated build. As before, you can pair the Threadripper CPU to a whole host of hardware configurations, including up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, your choice of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 480 GPUs (it can accommodate up to three cards), a 256GB SSD boot drive, and up to 8TB of additional storage.

It comes with liquid cooling built into the hardware, so you don’t have to worry about installing your own cooling after purchase. The liquid cooling, by the way, comes with 50,000 hours of life expectancy, so you’ll likely have that running through the desktop’s entire lifespan.
